Summary:

As a member of James Hardie s Interiors Segment, the Regional Account Manager works to maintain & secure mutually beneficial relationships and product positioning within the market s retail, dealer and distribution network.
This role will strategically identify and target potential end users (e.
g.
tile installers, property management companies, remodelers) to generate and grow new business by successfully converting from using competitive building products to using James Hardie.
The incumbent also positions the Company s value proposition and whole-product solution to the customer to build and enhance strong customer relationships as a key strong business partner for the customer.

The Regional Account Manager focuses sales efforts in their geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from their Regional Sales Leader (RSL).
The Regional Account Manager will individualize a plan for their territory and decide on the proper focus areas to achieve goals.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Account manage existing accounts to maintain and grow current business and monitor declining accounts to create game plans to return to a growth trajectory
  • Develop strong relationships with store, district and regional management
  • Execute the prescribed JH proprietary sales process when interacting with prospective end users
  • Conduct a competitive market analyses; including existing territory, customer types, and existing competitive products
  • Understand and demonstrate remodeling and new construction kitchen and bathroom tile installation process knowledge and expertise
  • Negotiate mutual beneficial agreements between the customer and James Hardie
  • Establish new stocking positions in key geographies and or accounts
  • Conduct reviews with rebated contractors and account manage key contractors and customers.
  • Responsible for YOY volume growth, lead generation and healthy funnel management and execution in your territory
  • Perform aggregation & product knowledge/training events through channel partners as a means to identify and convert competitive product users
  • In partnership with aligned channel partners conduct joint sales calls to drive growth and execute against our strategic game plan

  • Results-oriented to ensure appropriate products and services are delivered in an accurate, complete, and timely manner
  • Excellent presentation skills, organizational skills and execution capabilities
  • Active interest in maintaining and improving knowledge base that will assist in sales growth

Education and Experience

  • 5
    years of successful outside sales experience selling value-added, whole solution products to customers
  • Bachelor s degree (Sales and/or Marketing preferred)
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
  • Previous experience in construction environments a plus
  • Valid driver s license.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
