General Responsibilities Include

Using systems administrative tools and testing methodologies, assist with the installation and configuration of software deployments.
Troubleshoot applications and hardware issues and errors. Maintain and updates standards, policies, procedures, and documentation.
Follow defined processes to ensure that the production, staging and testing environments are in compliance.
Support prescribed aspects of daily operational activities, including account and resource management; backup and/or recovery; and server hardware and software monitoring, maintenance and upgrades.
Troubleshoot applications and hardware issues and errors.
Maintain and updates standards, policies, procedures, and documentation.
Qualifications
Server installation, support and administration
Assist with the maintenance of databases for all equipment including hardware, software, node/ip addresses
Coordinate with application engineers, system engineers, and business analysts to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of systems and infrastructure to meet company objectives
Assist remote based network engineering and platform services teams to perform hardware and software maintenance on equipment located in the data centers
Utilize change management systems to properly schedule and document infrastructure changes
Develop and maintain policies and procedures in regards to configurations, installations and systems for IT staff
Work to meet or exceed team based SLA's and KPI's around delivery and support.
Work with project managers to ensure successful delivery of server, network and data center based projects.
Skills
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to learn and understand new technologies quickly.
Demonstrated experience installing, administering, maintaining and troubleshooting server and network hardware
Solid technical knowledge and experience supporting servers and infrastructure devices in a production level data center with a complex TCP/IP network
Solid knowledge of computer systems and connectivity requirements for the installation and maintenance of data center infrastructure components
Excellent problem solving skills, ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver results timely, reliably and correctly
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-pace environment with constantly changing priorities

Capable of administering, provisioning, and maintaining common database stacks

Cloud hosting providers and tooling
Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.)

Passing knowledge of networking architecture and administration
IP Address Allocation
VPN administration/setup
Switch configuration (Nice to have.)
Comfortable administering machines via SSH connections only

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
